time could still flow linearly without being measured.


it would still exist without us defining it;

it would simply be a little bit less obvious, a bit more confusing

somewhat familiar and natural nonetheless.


of course time flows just as the river flows constantly in one direction, and yet

just as a river’s flow it is endless so long as there exists something it can touch


even without a map or awareness it will lead you there –

to a widely understood “there”, but

only time and water ever need to understand


a child led by a caretaker’s hand. rough as it may be
